How to Track Your SEO Progress in Notion Without Leaving Your Workspace

A step-by-step guide to building a simple SEO dashboard in Notion using our free template.

Tracking SEO progress often means jumping between Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and spreadsheets. It’s messy. I’ve been there. That’s why I built a Notion dashboard that centralizes everything.

Start by creating a database for your target keywords. Add properties for current rank, target rank, search volume, and last updated date. Use rollups to pull data from a separate page where you log weekly rankings. A simple formula can highlight keywords that moved up or down.

Next, add a content calendar database linked to your keywords. Each piece of content gets a status (draft, published, optimized) and a relation to the target keyword. Now you can see at a glance which keywords have content and which don’t.

Finally, create a view with a chart (or use a gallery view with progress bars) to show your top 10 keywords and their movement over time. It’s not fancy, but it works. We’ve included this exact setup in our free SEO Starter template.
